Today school was useless!

Period 1) Business studies... Mrs Steenkamp reads a single paragraph from the text book then says okay that enough for today.... Didn't learn a single thing...

Period 2-3) Double economics....Mr.Zeelie told us to read through Page 199 in the text book then summarise it. Thats what we did in 2 full periodes.

Break----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Period 4) Math... Mr Vermeulen shows up when there is exactly two minutes left of the period and says he was at the dentist...

Period 5) English....Tried to read "twelfth night"... haha good luck with that in our class...

Period 6) Afrikaans... Mrs Markram told us to prepare for our oral...as if anybody did...

Break-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Period 7) Accounting... Mrs van As marked the homework and told us that she is tired and we got the rest of the period off...

Truly a useless day of school... But those are the fun days right....

Music

Music... a powerful tool!!

Amped!! Chilled... depro...ANGRY.. any mood any time there is a song to go with ur mood...

When i wanna get all amped i listen to electro, lmfao type music...
If im chilled i listen to jack johnson type music...guitarist music..
when im all depro i listen to bach, mozart, beethoven music...classics
and when im angry i might listen to linkin park...

Now the power that music has over you is astonishing... Especially its ability to control your mood.. If i feel chilled and relaxed andi listen to some jack johnson it makes me feel super chilled... :)

Did you know that there were 3 groups of college students who took part in a IQ test. The first group didnt listen to any music and they had and average of 110... the second group listened to a relaxing tape and they scored an average of 111. the third group listened to mozart and had an average of 118!

It has also been proven that if you listen to bach music when you study your ability to receive and conceive information increases dramatically...

At this moment i am very into oldish music. Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Bob Dylan and so on... I dislike dubstep cause its so repetitive... The only artists i enjoy that still compose music is Dan Patlansky and Black Keys.... I saw the movie Taking Woodstock and i wished i could have been there...

True Fashion found here

This blog entry is simply a description for any boy who is wondering about what is considered cool... fashion wise... Oscar wild said "Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every 6 months."
I say "Fashion is what i feel like wearing today"... Anyway seeing as what i feel like wearing is totally unpredictable i am going to give the world a set of rules to a way of dressing that will never go out of fashion. The only style of dressing that remains cool even if im not wearing it. YES! it is "The JazzMan!"

  • A Basic idea of the look:

The JazzMan is more than just clothes it is a way of living. It is a way of saying to the world "im awesome, look my clothes prove it!"

  1. Lets start at the bottom : Shoes

You shoes can make or break this look! They should preferably be 3 1/2 sizes bigger than your normal size. Another very important aspect about these shoes are they may never, under any circumstance be the same colour. I do give you freedom in choosing your colour as long as it is very lumo and bright.

    2. Next We have the socks...

Your socks should always be very bright! They may not be the same colour as its pair. Just like the shoes. Your socks should be pulled up over your pants. It is crucial though that your socks only go up to 2.1123cm below your kneecap or 1,124cm above it... no more and no less...below we have the perfect example of a JazzMan sock! Now this guy has got style!

      3. Next Are The Actual Pants...
Always wear pants that are extremely baggy on the left and skinny on the right. If you have learnt anything about the JazzMan style by now, you should know that the two sides must be the same colour. Else it would just look weird right... Your pants must come up to either 3 cm above your belly button or 2.1cm below your left nipple and 2.2cm below your right nipple.

     4. Your shirt:
Your shirt may be a T-shirt or a golf shirt or a collar shirt or even a button shirt. The only important rule is that it is tie dyed... And that it is tucked into your pants! all the way! This will most probably cause you to look like a little frog boy but that is super cool! Take it from me, chicks dig frogboys!

   5. Your hat.
Now you get those posers who wear the entire JazzMan uniform perfectly with a cap!! Thats just unacceptable! All true JazzMen wore hats with feathers stuck to them. And not just any old feathers! Lumo ostrich feathers...

Now that is a JazzHat!!!

So now you know the basic look of a JazzMan... Next is the walk. Do you really believe you will ever see a logically thinking man walk around in a JazzMan suite walking normally??? Heck No!! You walk with a limp, like an old school pimp... Or you skip around like little girls do...Thats logic bru!

I am not going to further instruct you on how to become a JazzMan... I will show you. So next time you see me going to the bowl, skate park or movies i shall dress like a JazzMan and illustrate to you exactly how cool they are.

My sickness... summarized!

Haha well technically i have been sick for 5 days...Sunday to Thursday...I am going to Summarize! Tell you guys about my experiences from this time off...

First off the disease i had was a strep throat. Google strep throat pics to see what my throat looked like. The doctor said he hasn't seen a throat as red as mine this year. Im not sure how i got it. The only clear facts are that I went to Erins house to watch a movie, nightmare on elm street. The doors were closed for dramatic effect (why else right??) and she had a sore throat. The next morning i woke up with a sore throat. Now what could have happened in there that gave me her virus? Anybodies guess if you ask me... So back to the symptoms and so on..

Day 1) Sunday

Well i woke up with a slight sore throat. Actually this is quite normal and usually coffee makes it go away. Anyway, coffee did not help so i just ignored it...We had skated a lot the weekend and i donated blood in the week before so i was tired and weak and had a sore throat. My immune system was a bit down i guess... So i started the day by going to our church, JBBC (Jeffrey's Bay Bible Church). After which i walked to the mall in a coldish wind. When i got there i rode skateboard indoors and got completely warmed up. I sweated and logically took off my top. We went street skating after that outside in the cold til about 4:30... This time i walked the incredibly far distance from post office to Timon's house... seeing as you cannot comprehend this it is probably equivalent of walking around a soccer pitch once!!! When i finally got there completely worn out  i found that they were not home.. so i sat outside there house for an hour knowing i could break in and make me coffee but i did not... By this time my slightly sore throat had turned into a every time i swallow it hurts sore throat. After minutes of walking to his grandmothers house i hitched a ride to church...Bare mind that i walked at least 4 and a half minutes to get there!!!

Day2) Monday

Well Monday started by waking up for the 15th time because i swallowed. What good nights rest i had ey? Luckily my body went into its survival mode and my spit that builds up in my mouth simply went down my throat without me having to swallow... this was a problem though cause the next time i woke up was at 6:00 vomiting cause of all the mucous that had gone down my throat... vomiting was probably one of the most painful experiences i have ever had in my life due to my strep throat. I could compare this pain with the pain i felt when i fell and broke my wrist, or the time a bicycle fell on my head and i got 5 stitches or the time I slammed my finger with the TV remote (okay the last one might not be so bad but it was a big remote and i was running out of painful experiences.) It felt like my uvula (klein tongetjie) was in my mouth and i felt as i pressed it back into place with my finger... I went to the doctor and he gave me a wonderful injection that made everything better :)... unfortunately the drug did not last too long. The rest of that day i was lying in bed feeling sick...

Day 3) Tuesday

Tuesday was a wonderful day cause i learnt that Erin is also sick at home so i could at least chat with her...Boy did we chat... the entire day we chatted... i couldn't watch TV, read my book, play PC games, nothing...i was talking to Erin... Believe it or not, but believe it, she was more interesting than any other thing :) My throat was still sore . My nose was stuffy. But it was a wonderful day. :) Tuesday evening ,24 hours later after id been to the doctor, the doctor phoned and confirmed my 2 minutes with Google that it is a strep throat... Genius doctors these days we have...

Day 4) Wednesday

Wednesday i did the same thing as Tuesday except i had a little time for my book too :)... During the day i was only chatting with Erin but later the afternoon i was in our computer room reading my book when i saw the massive spider staring at me... learn more about it by reading my previous blog entry. I must admit that i felt much better Wednesday. I thought i would be returning to school on Thursday... My mom disagreed and said i should remain home one more day... I figured why not...

Day 5) Thursday

Thursday/ Today was my final day of being sick... Erin decided she was up for school so she went to school today. This morning i spent catching up on all my TV shows. Modern Family, Glee, Cougar Town, the big C, Lie to me, Harry's Law, Chase, Master Chef Australia and the new season Chicago code... After which i turned off the TV for a bit and spent two hours reading my book. The first hour was spent reading Chapters 4 -7 and the second hour was spent reading them again... I could also not tell you what happened in any of my shows... This is because while i was reading my mind was thinking "If only Erin was at home now. We would be chatting so leka" Luckily school ended at 13:45 and i could chat with her again...

Overall I would say this has been a very productive week... I walked up the stairs at least once every day (got double the usual exercise)... I was on mxit less than usual... And i slept at least 6 hours every night...

Spiders!...

Well you know that feeling when your lying in your bed but its not really your bed it is the bed in the next room but your lying in it cause its more comfortable and you are reading a book for the first time in 2 years 45 days and 3hours, give or take a few minutes... and suddenly you see a massive spider next to the light, which usually you would shoot with a pellet gun like any normal human being but now that its on the light you cant. And you lay  there debating what to do... run or kill... that fight or flight feeling... Well if you don't know this feeling then it feels kind of scary and every time i experience it a little poem comes into my head that goes a little like this :

Spider, spider on the wall
Please dont move a muscle at all
I hate how you slowly crawl
Watching me with every eyeball!!

Please leave, just go away
you are not welcome hear to stay
And as my darling mother would say
"Jay! Eks nie nou in die bui!"

I guess you could say i'm somewhat afraid
But that is just the way that I was made
So please don't look at me in a way that will degrade
You get some folk who greatly fear a mermaid...

Poem by lildavy...
Yes i suffer from arachnophobia...

getting u up to speed with me...

This post will simply be a summary of everything that has happened in my life so far. I am making this so that you will understand my day-to-day blogs better. I shall start the first paragraph with My hobbies.

I have pretty much only got two real hobbies. The first could be defined as a activity, sport, cultural interaction or just something to do. I bet you already know exactly what it is...
Skateboard riding aka skateboarding. I am a proud owner of a skateboard with 4 wheels... not those silly boards with 2... nope mine has 4 wheels :)
I really like skateboard riding because im really good with their colloquial way of communicating. You could probably have already observed that i am one who enjoys skateboard riding by the manner of speech used in this blog entry. I have gotten to know our local skateboard community well and i am somewhat accepted by them. I really enjoy "hanging out" with them. We often enjoy the sport of skateboarding together in a proper manner. It is really a civilized sport that can be compared to cricket as a gentleman's game, tennis as a game of strategy and chess for the intellectual side of it. Skateboard riders are comparable to the old British for their esteem in good manners and the Japanese for their great discipline. It has even been considered to change the saying "what happens if you fall of your horse? you get back up." to "what happens if a pebble gets caught under you wheel and you bail? You get up and check for a flat spot." i know the meaning of the two sayings differ completely but everything becomes cooler if you add a skateboard angle to it. hahaha

My second hobby is Photography. I currently own a canon 350D. It is a entry level SLR camera. I usually take photos of skateboarding. I also enjoy Marco photography. It is not as much fun as it use to be and I dont take as many pictures now. I want to start a photography business though. Dont know what a good price would be. Any advice?

strep throat :)

Okay...
My girlfriend (Erin) had a sore throat. I went to visit her and we watched a scary movie which turned out not to be scary at all, a nightmare on elm street. bit overrated i say. anyway we closed the door and blinds to block out light and make the room a bit darker. so we watched the movie successfully with a few scares hear and there. So the next day i also have a sore throat? bit sketchy yes but nothing really... that night my throat is killing me... so the next day my mom books me in for a doctors appointment and before we go i googled my symptoms and the treatment... apparently i have a strep throat and need antibiotics... this infomation took me 2 minutes to gather. So we are off to the doctor and he draws blood and gives me injections and all that and 24 hours later he phones and confirms that i have a strep throat and need antibiotics... Ironic waste of money ey? So Here is the cons of my disease... i have to stay in bed for a week... i feel terrible....my throat is sore and it pains every time i swallow... im going to have to catch up on a lot of homework.... BUT! here are the pros :) Erin also has to stay in bed so we chat over Mxit all day... my mom bought me loads of sterri stumpies to drink... i recorded all of X games 17 to enjoy in the comfurt of my bed... overall this is a pro in my life i think...:)

MY FUTURE???

What on earth should i become? A question that runs through the mind of many kids i think... Well it has definitely been running through mine. I change my idea of what to become weekly. The only thing i truly know is that it will be in the line of business. Currently im considering becoming a lawyer. The subjects i chose were
  • Economics
  • Accounting
  • Business Studies
  • Math
  • English Home Language
  • Afrikaans first additional language
  • Life Orientation
I am also learning Spanish and want to be learning Spanish soon.

I consider becoming a lawyer (as u already now know), chartered accountant, economist or a journalist.
The majority of my friends advice me to go for journalism because its not that boring. But what real future will there be for me in journalism.

My girlfriend

Well her name is Erin :)... Cant help but smile every time i say it. Erin :) :).. hehe anyway. she has wonderful blue eyes and ginger blonde hair. She is skinny and enjoys many of the same activities as what I do. We have been dating since the 21st of April 2011. I haven't ever felt the same way about a girl as what i feel about her. she makes me smile all the time... :) I don't believe that this is simple infatuation.

My Family...
I am what you would call a laat lammetjie (little late lamb)... it means i was born much later than the rest of my siblings. I have got 1 sister and 2 brothers. i also have 2 sister in laws. My eldest brother is Stegman. The next brother is Izak and my sister is Heleen. My sister in law whom is married to stegman is Liesel. The other sister in law is married to Izak and her name is Taryn. My mom is Hendrina and my dad is Herman.
I will shortly ttell you a bit more about each member.

Hendrina:
She is my mother and gave birth to me at the age of 40! the difference between me and my eldest brother is the same as the difference as he and my mother in age... She is currently 56 and writes keywords for some company. She is going senile... She is often my source to information. She also enjoys photography... She is staring to get grey hair and wrinkles...

Herman:
He is my father... He is strict and down to the point. He makes so many lame jokes and is often the only one laughing. He goes onto my FaceBook profile and invites all of my friends. Well only the girls. He is the owner and manager of a car garage and also rents out a building to some Chinese shop. He is 58 years old.

Stegman:
He is my brother...He could have been my father if you look at the age gap between us. He often acts like my father by giving me speeches and so on. He is very musical and enjoys playing guitar, drums and the bass. He has got two daughters Ashelle and Lael.... They recently moved from Johannesburg to right next door...

Izak:
He is my cool sibling. He used to also ride skateboard and he now surfs. He is never condescending with me and he is currently in LA. He was in England for a year or two a while back.

Heleen:
She is what i call one of those "huh?" girls.... She had a Gr12 average of A+! She decided to do what she loves and go into horses even though she had the correct subjects to become a doctor.  It would be like me doing really well and becoming a jounalist. The problem is that there is no money. She is currently living at home with us doing odd jobs.

Another weird fact about my family is that my grandma is also living with us... these few years were suppose to be my "only child" years and instead Izak is the only one who has not come back home yet...

I know this may have been a lot to read but it was needed to understand me...  from know on my blog entries will be a day-to-day kind of thing
